He tweeted: “#Fekir and his agent should be this Sunday in Liverpool to settle the last details of the transfer of the French international. “If all goes well, medical visit in the wake! #LFC” 7.30am: Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill says West Brom defender Jonny Evans has what it takes to play for a top-six side in the Premier League. He said: “Jonny has all the attributes to play in a top-six side, there’s no doubt about that. “The price you can get him for is an absolute steal, given what people are buying players for nowadays. “I expect to see Jonny move in the summer and get a fresh start, hopefully at a big club.” 06.10am: Napoli have rejected a bid totalling £44m from Manchester City for Jorginho, according to the Italian club’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis. De Laurentiis told Corriere dello Sport on Saturday that City had made an offer of £40m for the Italy midfielder with bonuses on top. “I’ve refused €45m plus a €5m bonus from City for Jorginho,” De Laurentiis said. Jorginho has two years left on his current deal with the Serie A side. 04:40am: L’Equipe says Arsenal have enquired about Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard. The French youngster, 22, has not missed a Stuttgart first team game this season and his progress has attracted attention from abroad. The defender, who joined VfB in 2016 from Lille, has a deal to 2019 and recently swerved new contract talks. 03.00am: Atletico Madrid have reportedly started negotiations with Monaco over a move for French midfielder Thomas Lemar, who is expected to cost at least £78m. The club’s director of sport, Andrea Berta, is in France to discuss a potential summer move, according to AS. Atletico want to sign Lemar whether star forward Antoine Griezmann stays or joins Barcelona. 02.10am: Arsenal and Liverpool are tracking Shakhtar Donetsk star Bernard according to claims from Italy. The Brazil international has 14 caps but is leaving Shakhtar on a free this summer. And the tricky winger is attracting attention from England with Italian-based journalist Andersinho Marques claiming both Liverpool and Arsenal are keen. Despite preferring a move to FC Porto, Bernard secured a £22m move to Ukrainian side in 2013. 00.30am: Manchester United target Mateo Kovacic, 24, has hinted at a move away from Real Madrid, saying he wants more game time. The Croatian midfielder started just 10 La Liga games last season. Kovacic said: “I believe I’ll play more, whether in Real or somewhere else, now is the time for me to play.” “Offers? I am under contract with Real and I wish not to comment on other clubs.” The 24-year-old joined Madrid in 2015 from Inter Milan and has won three Champions League titles and a La Liga crown. According to Don Balon, a Spanish outlet famous for its outlandish transfer claims, Messi has identified the two players he wants to see added to Barca’s midfield. The report states that the Argentine wants Tottenham star Christian Eriksen, as well as Juventus’ Miralem Pjanic. Messi is concerned that Barca are losing their identity as a team that passes the ball quickly and wants players brought in to reestablish that philosophy. The Spanish publication claim the Liverpool manager is aware that Real Madrid fancy appointing him as Zinedine Zidane’s successor. And he has reportedly told the club’s president Florentino Perez that Mohamed Salah and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea would have to be signed for him to switch dugouts. 2.55pm: Roma appear to be making plans for the possibility of Alisson leaving the club this summer. Liverpool and Chelsea have targeted Brazil’s No.1. And according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, if Alisson goes, Roma will pursue a deal for Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno. Arsenal want the Germany international too, though. The creative 28-year-old is free to leave the Parc des Princes this summer as the club look to settle their finances and abide to FIFA’s financial fairplay rules. Manuel Pellegrini’s side could take advantage and have held talks with Pastore’s agent. 12.50pm: A flurry of bets have been placed on Liverpool signing Jack Butland from Stoke. The goalkeeper has been targeted by the Reds for a summer move and Coral price a switch to Anfield at 4/7 now. A Coral spokesperson said: “It looks inevitable that Jack Butland is going to leave Stoke this summer. “And judging by the number of bets we have taken this morning on Liverpool being his next club, it suggests to us that Jurgen Klopp may have identified his new keeper.” 11.50am: Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool and snub Real Madrid following Zinedine Zidane’s departure, Diario Gol report. The Spanish outlet claims Salah has concerns over Real going forward and how they will struggle to emulate their success achieved under Zidane. Due to the major pressure at the Bernabeu, the Real target is opting to stick with the project under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield. It is said Salah has told former Liverpool team-mate and Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho of his intentions. 11.05am: Arsenal boss Unai Emery has three La Liga players in his sights, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon. In attack, Villarreal winger Samu Castillejo is wanted as the Gunners manager feels he can shine in the Premier League. Elsewhere, Real Sociedad midfielder Asier Illarramendi and Getafe centre-half Djene have also been requested by Emery. The trio are seen as obtainable, given Arsenal’s restricted transfer budget. 10am: Unai Emery is keen on bolstering Arsenal’s midfield with the addition of Steven Nzonzi, who he coached at Sevilla. One of his first actions in charge will be to try and sign Sevilla ace Nzonzi, according to Estadio Deportivo Emery was the man to take the France international to La Liga when he signed him from Stoke for £7m. United want to avoid a prolonged transfer saga and have not been given any indication Real want to sell following Zinedine Zidane’s departure. But if they get encouragement, Jose Mourinho could well move. 8.20am: West Ham star Marko Arnautovic would be unable to turn down a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, The Sun say. The Red Devils are interested in signing the £50m-rated forward, who worked under the Portuguese at Inter Milan. The Hammers are insisting the 29-year-old is not for sale, though, with Everton also said to be hunting him. 7.25am: Liverpool have not forgotten about Thomas Lemar and a mammoth bid is being prepared to secure the Monaco star. Transfer Market Web report that a bid of around £101m will be necessary to prise away the France winger. Jurgen Klopp has already snapped up Fabinho from Monaco and Lemar remains on his radar. 3.00am: Chelsea could lose Eden Hazard – and they will struggle to find anyone to replace him. That’s according to former Blues star Frank Sinclair, who predicts a tricky transfer window in store for the west Londoners. He said: “Chelsea will be doing everything they can to keep [Eden Hazard] there for at least another year, but Real Madrid were linked heavily last year and could come back in for him again. “Top players will be expecting to play for teams in the Champions League, and Chelsea will struggle to sign these players now.” 12.00am: Aston Villa have slapped a £40m price-tag on Jack Grealish, Starsport can exclusively reveal. Chinese owner Tony Xia has sanctioned the sale of the 22-year-old following Villa’s failure to earn promotion into the Premier League. Villa were beaten 1-0 by Fulham in the Championship play-off final last Saturday. And it is understood Xia is looking at his options with Villa going into the last year of their parachute payments, following their relegation from the top flight two years ago.
