FIFA 19 ratings: The 10 best defenders in the game – Real Madrid, Barcelona stars feature

EA Sports are due to release their latest FIFA edition
on September 28; which will be available to buy on PS3, Xbox
360, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows.
A FIFA 19
demo version of the game is out now for PS4, Xbox and
PC.[1]
And ahead of FIFA 19’s official launch in just over two weeks’
time, EA Sports have released a list of the 100
highest-rated players.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, of course, have received
the top rating of 94 – but who are the 10 leading defenders in
the game?

It is none other than Real
Madrid[2] captain
Sergio Ramos out in front, with the Spaniard commanding a
rating of 91.
He is followed in the list by Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin on
a rating of 90 – the only other defender with a rating of 90 or
above.
There are two players who come next on 89; and they are
Juventus[3]
veteran Giorgio Chiellini and Bayern Munich star Mats Hummels.
PSG centre-half Thiago Silva is in at fifth place with a rating
of 88.

The Brazilian comes before five men who are all tied in sixth
place.
Barcelona trio Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Jordi Alba are
all rated 87 in the game, as is Napoli defender Kalidou
Koulibaly.
Alba is the only full-back who makes the top 10.
And Tottenham’s Belgian centre-back Jan Vertonghen – the only
Premier League face in the list – also shares their rating of
87.
